Just arrived back with us here at RFH Classics we are pleased to offer again this 1963 Standard Vanguard Six finished in the delightful Two Tone Grey exterior with matching Grey Leather interior. We sold this car early last summer but following an accident in his Lotus Elan the owner has had to admit defeat and let the car go as he now struggles to drive the Vanguard. The Vanguards are getting a rare sight on the roads nowadays and none more so that this Phase Six that was originally built between 1960-1963. This lovely example which has had very low ownerships for the year originally come to us from long term previous ownership with the former owner having the car for nearly 8 years. Sadly the chap we sold the car to only had it for around 9 months but during this time he maintained the car to a high standard and like the previous owners kept the car dry stored. This particular car also seems to be a little bit special as were led to believe from the former owner that it was a car that was rescued by the Standard Motor Club who then had a hand in the restoration undertaken over a number of years. Over the past 9 years the car has had regular maintenance undertaken and recently had the twin carburettors rebuilt along with a new distributor. The bodywork is in excellent order with the two tone grey really helping to offset the lines of the car. Chrome work to the vehicle is also very good with lovely chrome wheel embellishers that finish the car off. Inside the car is lovely with the bench style seats that are fitted to the front and rear being trimmed in Grey Leather and showing some fantastic patina to them. The car has regularly attended classic car shows and was always driven to them. It has been the subject of many car show awards including a recent first at a show in early July 23. The whole car is in very good condition both inside and externally and drives exceptionally smoothly.
